Call Jude

At Braid Custom Woodcraft I focus on high quality work and great customer service. What does this mean? It starts with good quality materials. Carefully chosen wood which is straighter and has fewer defects, better sheet goods like domestic plywood which is flatter and less prone to de-lamination than imported plywood, and superior paint and varnish which lasts longer and shows fewer brushstrokes. This is followed by careful attention to detail in all phases of production and installation. Parts must be straight and square. Joints should be carefully cut to ensure a good fit. Finally, a little extra sanding and an extra coat of paint go a long way to an outstanding finish.

Great customer service means treating people with respect and professionalism, being friendly, reliable and positive. It means educating my customers and being available to answer questions and address concerns. Customer service is about clear communication by careful listening and understanding what each of my clients are looking for, and working together to ensure a positive experience. Last but not least, good service means being careful in a person’s home and cleaning up after myself.

Finish Carpentry

Saw Blade

“Jude was able to take our collection of ideas and pictures and bring it all together into a cohesive plan. Applying his craftsmanship as a carpenter he provided us with exactly what we wanted, staying true to his quote. Our bar and library area is truly a work of art.”

Angela Stratilo

“Jude turned our crowded closet into an open boot room style closet. Jude was great to work with, he met with us to make sure he knew what we wanted, gave us options and helped create the perfect space for our coats, shoes and backpacks. We barely knew Jude was even in the house as he did the renovations and everything was always clean at the end of the day. The quality of Jude’s work was tremendous. Overall working with Jude was a great experience."

Jane Poissant

“I hired Jude to help me renovate a 1912 home. Restoring and renovating a character home can bring on a myriad of unpredictable and complex problems at every turn, yet Jude with his positive attitude easily worked through each set of exhaustive challenges. Jude was not only a pleasure to work with, he was also reliable, resourceful, accommodating and able to implement my visual ideas with creative solutions. I love how my home turned out and couldn’t be happier with Jude’s work.”
